This is my first Diesel stripdown, is this normal? (I have not even cleaned the underside) or... are these 8 newish valves in the spare DERV head....
Bathtime.... Can't believe how I could ever have done without a parts washer
Camshaft and caps look generally better than the 125K mile head (this one 150K with FSH)
Bad head top, spare good head bottom
Spare head quickly whipped off.. relief!..
Flywheel end cap and bearing nasty too.. wonder how much futher this engine would have ran...
